Holidays Challenge

Everybody knows the holidays introduce a certain mental and physical strain on the body. Between the rushing around and extra cocktails and appetizers and indulgence on big heavy meals its a common theme to pull the old Ill start that in January but why wait to launch your healthy habits?
There is no wrong time to make a lifestyle change. In fact making the change before the holidays has several benefits:

1) Cleansing your body of the toxins that stimulate cravings. Lets face it, the holidays are a hard time to make smart eating choices. Why make it worse?

2) Developing the habit of reasonable choices. Remember, this is a lifestyle change and that means finding a balance. There is no doubt this holiday will bring along some extra cocktails and tasty desert. But recovery from those events is much easier when you are in a state of optimal health, rather than in the full throws of the holiday binge.

3) Leading, not following. Think of how much better you will look and feel in January when everyone else is trying to overcome the damage from the last month of the year. Not only did you avoid it, you got ahead. For you January is about accelerating down the path you are already seeing results from, not getting out the compass and changing direction.

Tomorrow is a new day full of potential, make it count!
